Favorite Knitting Tools (besides notions and needles)

You already know I love a good knitting notion, the right pair of needles, a well-made project bag, and a proper blocking setup, but there are even more tools that I reach for again and again. These aren’t always the first things new knitters buy, but they’re the ones that…

Knitting Inspiration

Knitting is more than a hobby—it’s a creative outlet that blends relaxation and productivity. Whether you’re picking up needles for the first time or diving into patterns with detail like the Painted Wings Shawl and Brioche Panes Blanket,, I focus on designs that are as enjoyable to knit as they are to wear or gift.

My goal is to help you find projects that spark joy and celebrate the beauty and versatility of yarn, without unnecessary complexity.

Simple Recipes

Easy and delicious don’t have to be mutually exclusive. In knitting, we talk about being process knitters (knitting for the love of knitting) versus product knitters (knitting because of the result). If I apply the same concept to cooking – I am 100% cooking for the love of food and NOT for the love of cooking. I want to spend as little time and effort (shopping, prep, cooking, cleaning, dishes) on the act of cooking as possible, and the outcome needs to be excellent.

My recipes and recipe lists are designed to balance minimal effort with maximum results.

Favorite Things

Everyday life is made better by the best things for task at hand. I curate lists of my favorite books, board games, cookbooks, kitchen gadgets, knitting notions, organizing methods, and more with one goal in mind: to bring a little extra joy and ease to your daily routine.

Whether you’re trying to get organized, find a thoughtful gift, or just treat yourself, these recommendations are practical, meaningful, and designed to make your life more enjoyable.
